The ins and outs of design & build

We’ll be there to work with you, to share your vision and develop tailor made design and build solutions. You’ll initially meet with Dan at your site to discuss your building project. We’ll establish what you dream house is to be, what your budget is and advise on considerations and decisions that you’ll need to make. We will also discuss site implications, council planning rules and submission, design stages, external tradies needed.

The stages of design include preliminary concept design with our architectural team, and an initial pricing guide before we move on to the final concept design, pricing, resource consent application costs and building consent application costs.

Communication is the key to any successful project, so during the build we will organise weekly site visits with you and take care of the paperwork.

  2. Preliminary concept design drawings
  3. Preliminary cost estimate from our quantity surveyor, outlining our costs and your scope of work to then provide you with a full comprehensive overall cost breakdown for your project. This proposal will contain a cover letter, trade summary and Excel spreadsheet with each stage of the project outlined. When choosing to build with us we will in good faith refund your initial cost with our quantity surveyor.
