We undertook a major renovation (full reclad) of our home with DBS. Dan and his team did a fantastic job and we are thoroughly pleased with the end result. In a project like this there are always going to be issues that come up, and these were always navigated and resolved by DBS. The team were hardworking, respectful and communicated clearly. If an issue came up they would discuss this with us and take us through the options. I would definitely recommend DBS and would happily use them again for any future projects.

Dan and his team fixed some timber rot and cladding that had failed on our 1970’s home in Glenfield. The guys were amazing to deal with. Very knowledgeable, hard working, and thorough. A very comprehensive job completed by the team and we are very happy with the outcome. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

I contracted Dan and his team for a bathroom renovation. Right from the first phone call the entire team bent over backwards to be flexible and work with my changing timelines. They were knowledgable, helpful and I was really happy with the end result in my bathroom. They communicated with me throughout the project and everything went as planned. DBS Residential recently completed a retaining wall in my basement. Thanks to Dan and Brett for a job well done. The guys responded quickly to my request for work to be done and worked extremely efficiently and thoroughly once the work got started. The end result is a quality job by a professional team. The recent Auckland lockdowns threw up some challenges but DBS got everything done quickly and to a high standard.
We did go over our planned budget, but with renovations you always have to factor those possibilities in!

Dan and his Crew were an awesome outfit to work with.

We had a roof leak, with an unknown extent of the damages. DBS were responsive and quick to mobilize their team to fit us into their busy schedule. They kept us across and aware of the project scope and estimates as we reached key milestones. They managed all the subtrades and organised works well. This included scaffolding, carpentry, roofing, gib/painting, demo, etc.

When we did have issues, we were able to contact Dan directly and he was quick to resolution and ensured that any concerns or problems were fixed and adjusted. Things don’t always go as planned, so having this transparency, access and communications was appreciated.

I would use DBS again and highly recommend this outfit. They’ve earned my trust which is hard to come by in an industry fraught with cowboys.

The lads at DBS Residential completed a 10 week building renovation project at our 100 year old villa – a new kitchen, bathroom and laundry. There were quite a few surprises and Jase & Ryan worked hard through the difficulties. They were always on time, easy to have around and were obviously highly skilled. Everything was explained to me during the build. I really appreciated that. They levelled foundations and laid a new matai wooden floor, removed walls, built new ones, opened new doorways, replaced an exterior wall bottom plate, upgraded steel beams with new fixings amongst other things and brought everything up to compliance with council requirements.

I can highly recommend DBS Residential and will certainly choose to use them again in the future. Thanks for the mahi.

Dan Hendy at DBS residential was a great help at all stages of our minor home reno project. The project involved creating a new bedroom, moving walls and closing in a porch area to form a bigger lounge.
He made good suggestions at the design phase, and was always responsive during the build phase.

As a first timer at the reno game he walked us through the Council consent requirements and the final council inspection passed with no problems.

The tradies he used were all reputable and got the job done to a high standard.

Would recommend highly.

DBS Residential recently completed a kitchen, laundry and living room renovation and my wife and I are very happy with the end result. Dan was a pleasure to work with, communicated well and made the process easy and stress free. Once the ball was rolling everything came together quicker than we expected which was a bonus. All of Dan’s team and sub-contractors did a great job and offered advice and solutions throughout the process. Although this was a small job in the scheme of things, we felt like it was treated with the same importance as any of the bigger jobs DBS R had on the go. Overall, we’d highly recommend DBS Residential and we’ll happily use them again when we get around to doing the rest of the house.
